Basuki Minta Menteri Tidak Pakai Patwal

Basuki Stops Using Voorijder

Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama admitted that he is ready not to get the guard of Voorijder (advance motorcycle escort) from Jakarta Transportation Department (Dishub) in trip from his house to City Hall.

At the meeting, I said to the adjutant to stop the guard

"At the meeting, I said to the adjutant to stop the guard," Basuki said, Monday (11/10).

The decision is taken since many city servant officials misuse the guard from transportation department and police. "It is aimed to prevent mayors ask the guard from voorijder. So it will decrease traffic jam," he added.

Motorcycle Restriction, Free Double-Decker Bus is Prepared

Basuki continued that the guard can be given for those who will attend important meeting or heading to airport. "Police officer will assist for this matter," he continued.

According to him, transportation department should guard the firefighter trucks and free double-decker buses.

In addition to the city officials, the man who is familiarly called Ahok also asks the ministers avoiding voorijder. A letter regarding this matter will be sent to President Jokowi.

"If all ministers want it too, bad traffic could appear in the city," Basuki added.
